PGL March 2018
Sunday 18th March
3pm arrived safely back at school after a really enjoyable (albeit very very cold) weekend. Thank you to all the staff who made the weekend possible and to the parents for their support.
Good morning! Everybody had a lovely night's sleep. Woke up to Narnia this morning and the children and adults had great fun! Can't imagine why the children wanted to "get" Mr Hatton & Mr Rosenthal?! Off now for the morning activities.........
Saturday 17th March
This afternoon was extremely cold and windy. The children have been wrapped up warm during the activities and loved Jacob's Ladder. Four children reached the top (9th ladder) which is about 20-25 feet above the ground. Tyler, Emily, Jacob and Erind. Everybody has tried so hard in all of the different activities today. After our yummy chicken / cannelloni dinner, we went to the PGL shop. Let's just say Mr Hatton and Mrs Morrell need a medal!!! Lots of indoor evening fun was had by all. Children all in bed by 9.30pm and lights out at 9.45pm. All packed and last sleep. Breakfast at 7.20am and then last activities of PGL 2018 - fencing (part two), abseiling and archery.

Update from Mr Hatton this morning:
Morning came very early as we had a very early breakfast time. Sausages, eggs and toast plus cereal. After this, activities included abseiling, archery and the infamous Zip Wire!! Unfortunately, it has been snowing all morning so very cold. It has been a shame that not all children have brought along gloves; but socks on hands have had to do! A lovely hot lunch awaited us - jackets, sausage rolls, chips, beans and more. Now we are just preparing to get ready for afternoon activities - Build a Buggy and Jacob's Ladder.
Friday 16th March
Update Friday evening: unfortunately Mr Hatton is experiencing serious issues with the wifi at PGL and cannot forward any photos but would like to update parents with the following report. "After we arrived we enjoyed a yummy burger and fries. We have all had a lovely afternoon with bright sunshine. All groups have been doing fencing and giant swing. Before dinner we were able to go to our rooms and unpack. Dinner was fish and chips or a curry. All the children were full and have so far thoroughly enjoyed the food on offer here at PGL. Had a great evening in the sports hall doing games and now everybody is in bed with lights out at 9.45pm. All looking forward to the cooked breakfast at 7.20am!!!!"
11:45am Friday 16th March: the group have arrived safely at PGL - just in time for lunch! Please re-visit this page for updates on progress at PGL which will be posted over the next 48 hours.
