Religious Education is taught according to the locally agreed syllabus. Parents have the right to withdraw their child from R.E. lessons and / or the daily collective act of worship.
Parents have the right to withdraw their child from all or part of the Sex Education and Relationship lessons, except those statutory elements taught as part of National Curriculum Science.
THE SCHOOL CURRICULUM
The curriculum provided at Beaumont is based on the values and aims of the school. It incorporates a strong emphasis on personal, social, health and citizenship education and lessons in all year groups support children to develop age-appropriate, meaningful understanding of the themes of British Values - democracy, individual liberty, rule of law and mutual respect. The school curriculum, whilst placing a high priority on the basic skills of literacy and numeracy, is broad and balanced, promoting the spiritual, moral, social, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils through PSHCE and PE.
