Community Cohesion, Fundraising and Links

At Beaumont we believe in a strong partnership between staff, governors, parents and pupils. We aim to work co-operatively to make learning a positive experience for everyone.

Our aim is to provide the best possible learning experiences for all children and, where necessary, giving additional support to individuals or groups of pupils to meet their needs. Pupils have equal access to the taught curriculum and school enrichment activities, appropriate to their age and ability. Pupils are encouraged to review their learning experiences, evaluate their progress and take an active part in planning their learning.

Beaumont has developed strong associations with the local community: The School Nurse, The Fire Brigade, Safer Neighbourhood Team, Road Safety Team and Environmental Department regularly talk to the children about issues of personal welfare and safety.

The school's Christmas Fair held on 6th December was a great success, raising just over £1000. We would like to thank all the local businesses listed below who generously donated prizes for the raffle and to everyone who bought raffle tickets and participated on the day.

Shinerocks Estate Agents, Turquoise Cleaning Company, Clarry’s Community Football, Romas Hair Salon, School of Kung Fu, StudyBox, Explore Learning and Helen O’Grady Drama Academy

The Reedham Old Scholars Association (ROSA) continue to develop and maintain links with the school. The annual reunion is held at the school. Talks, competitions and awards bond the school with the association.

The whole school takes part in celebrating Harvest at St Barnabas Church and Christmas at school. Families are invited to attend these celebrations and contribute towards local causes; Purley Food Hub at Harvest and the Children's Cancer Ward at the Royal Marsden at Christmas.

The school enthusiastically supports charity campaigns and national initiatives (for example Safer Internet Day, Black History Month, RSPB Big Schools' Birdwatch, and Walk to School Week).  Organised by either the school or Friends of Beaumont, fundraising activities for 2019-20 will include supporting the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal 2019, BBC Children in Need, Marie Curie's Great Daffodil Appeal and Sport Relief.
