Year 6 Eco Griffins

Year Six today started – as part of their geography lesson – to understand the importance of recycling and litter collection. In our case, it was litter picking. We checked all of the back and lower playgrounds and started to find small bits of paper, wrappers etc. We then travelled down to the field and the outside of the school and our bags immediately filled up! With protective gloves and grabbers the class were able to successfully collect five full bags of rubbish from our site. This in turn will now allow wildlife to thrive and for our school site and surroundings not to be covered in litter. Well done Year Six with your first outing! Have a look at the photos below.
