Year Two visit Foxley Woods
Year 2 trip to Foxley Woods
We went to Foxley Woods to learn about a woodland habitat. A habitat is where animals live. It’s where they find food and shelter. We saw squirrels and heard birds and sat on a fallen tree trunk that looked just like a crocodile!
We found bugs under logs and looked at them closely using magnifying glasses. We even spotted some badger setts but all the badgers were asleep because they are nocturnal animals.
We collected non-living and no longer living things and used these to make habitats for our Bog Babies back at school. We think they might like to eat acorns like the squirrels. It was a fun trip and we learned a lot.
