A sporting week to end Spring half term…

Monday: netball @ Shirley High. Tuesday Gym trials. Wednesday: football v Margaret Roper in semi final of small school cup.  Thursday: gym trials & afternoon netball v Croydon High in High Five League. Friday: multi-skills competition and after school football v The Hayes.

What’s on w/c 5th February………

Monday: Year 2 Great Fire of London workshop in school & Netball match @ Shirley High; Tuesday: gym trials; Wednesday: Football v Margaret Roper; Thursday: gym trials & Netball High 5 v Croydon High; Friday: Mufti Day £1 – multiskills competition Y3/4 – Football v The Hayes – last day of half term.

Astounding Results 2017 !

DfE confirms Beaumont is the top-performing primary school in Croydon 2017 – 93% attaining the expected standard in reading, writing and Maths; 37% also reached a higher than expected standard! Our total average scaled score of 337 is up there with the highest performing primary schools in the country.  Well done everyone!

Sporting Achievements

Sport plays a significant part in daily life at Beaumont to the benefit of pupils’ fitness and wellbeing.  Pupils also participate in weekly running sessions and the school is well-represented at Croydon primary school tournaments on a regular basis.

Basic Skills Quality Mark renewal

Beaumont has  again achieved the Basic Skills Quality Mark. The assessor gave some glowing comments about the “very welcoming & friendly school with high expectations for its pupils” & said children were “extremely polite & well behaved”. “Parents have access to high quality workshops” supporting their children as well as improving their own learning.

Charity Campaigns 2017-18

As can be seen from our Community Cohesion page, the school regularly supports National Charity Campaigns. The first this year was raising £215 at our Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support! Since then, £50 was donated to The Poppy Appeal and a cake sale/sale of wristbands raised £268.30 for Children in Need.

PGL Residential: 14-16th March 2018

Registration for the PGL Residential next March for Year 5 and 6 pupils has now closed.  Check out the report on PGL Residential 2017  under the “News & Events” tab; the group had an excellent weekend of activities and shared experiences including the zip wire, archery, fencing, and lots more – not to mention bacon sandwiches […]

Beaumont Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We have a number of policies in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment. We have 2 Designated Child Protection Officers: Mrs Morrell (Assistant Head) and Mrs Harvey (Executive Headteacher); the Governor with Safeguarding responsibility is Mr Gordon Smith.
