Monday 23rd April: End of Rag Bag Week – don’t forget to dig out all unwanted clothing, bedding, towels etc & bring to school. Tuesday: Y5 swimming continues. Thursday: Y3/4 Tennis @ Reedham and Y5/6 Netball @ Ridgeway (both starting after lunch).
Sport Relief fundraising where pupils undertook activities (50 star jumps/ hops/ push ups/ step ups/ ball throws/catches) & ran in teams to clock up 50 miles celebrating 50 years of the school this year. Elite runners added 8 miles & teachers/parents 7.35 miles. A total of 50.85 miles! Great effort – total raised £1150!

Due to the cold weather, the school is considering moving this residential to the first half of the Autumn Term in future.

DfE confirms Beaumont is the top-performing primary school in Croydon 2017 – 93% attaining the expected standard in reading, writing and Maths; 37% also reached a higher than expected standard! Our total average scaled score of 337 is up there with the highest performing primary schools in the country. Well done everyone!
Sport plays a significant part in daily life at Beaumont to the benefit of pupils’ fitness and wellbeing. Pupils also participate in weekly running sessions and the school is well-represented at Croydon primary school tournaments on a regular basis.
Beaumont has again achieved the Basic Skills Quality Mark. The assessor gave some glowing comments about the “very welcoming & friendly school with high expectations for its pupils” & said children were “extremely polite & well behaved”. “Parents have access to high quality workshops” supporting their children as well as improving their own learning.
As can be seen from our Community Cohesion page, the school regularly supports National Charity Campaigns. The first this year was raising £215 at our Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support!
