Reception visit Gatton Park

On Monday,  Reception class visited Gatton Park. They had a wonderful time finding minibeasts using mirrors to look underneath leaves, looking at the rockpools, pollinating flowers with pipe cleaner bees, spotting the camouflaged / not camouflaged objects walk, looking for bugs under logs, examining a toad, using sweeping nets to catch bugs, looking at a cricket,  listening to 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar', standing next to the huge mound of manure to help us to remember the URE trigraph that we learn in phonics. A very fun and long day. Photos are below.
