Monday 9 March 2026 New sensory garden work Friends of Beaumont would like to thank the parents who came at the weekend to clear the garden. Gareth took down the shed, Eamonn & Becka bagged up the wood and Sam did 3 trips to the recycling centre! Chloe & James cleared all four beds and part of the back border!Our next gardening clear up will be on Sunday 22nd March so please let your class rep know if you can help us! We need teams of two strong dads to take the very heavy posts so please help us!Friends of Beaumont PTA

Monday 9 March 2026 Double Yellow Lines Good morning.Mrs Morrell has worked tirelessly with the Council to ensure that outside of our school the double yellow lines are clearly visible. Last night, this was finally achieved and as you can see from the photos it is clear that directly outside of the school and opposite it is marked. Parking or leaving a vehicle unattended is forbidden and fines could be issued by parking attendants.Thank you for your understanding.

Friday 6 March 2026 Tony Bradman (Author of Viking Boy) visits Beaumont Our wonderful World Book Day Celebrations continued today with welcoming our author - Tony Bradman. He was simply 'amazing' and read from a range of his best selling books and poems. What a fantastic opportunity for all of our pupils and thanks again to Friends of Beaumont PTA for funding this year's author visit.Mr Hatton

Wednesday 4 March 2026 Year 1 visit Wisley It was a wonderful day for the children as they had so much fun on their trip to Wisley Gardens.They had the opportunity to take part in a workshop where they learnt about plants and made sculptures out of clay.They had the nature walk where they learnt more about plants and sculptures. Tuesday 3 March 2026 Chef John visits years 3 and 4 Today, the children worked with chef and learnt two important knife skills- the Claw and the Bridge technique to help them hold a knife safely while cutting vegetables. They really enjoyed making their own salad bowls. Hopefully, they will get the chance to practise their skills at home again.

Monday 2 March 2026 Healthy Schools Mark - Bronze awarded to Beaumont We are very pleased to announce that last week we were awarded the Healthy Schools Bronze Award. This is a newly designed award from the Mayor of London and Beaumont Primary has been the first school in Croydon to be awarded it. Now on to working towards our Silver Award.Mr Hatton

Tuesday 18 November 2025 Y4 visit Brunel Museum, London A fun day at the Brunel Museum -but a challenging journey there 🚂- allowed me to think about whether railways of the past were more efficient! We discovered how difficult it was to build a tunnel under a river (and dangerous), especially in the Victorian era. Tuesday 21 October 2025 Y1 visit the Unicorn Theatre The Year One trip to the Unicorn Theatre today was amazing. We came back to school on time and the children thoroughly enjoyed the production. Thanks to all the parents that came along to help us.Tomorrow, the children will be writing a recount about the trip. Monday 20 October 2025 Y2 Horniman Museum We had an amazing - if very wet!! - trip to the Horniman museum today! We visited the butterfly house. Then after lunch we took part in ‘Around Africa workshop'! We visited a busy market in Accra Ghana, a village in Maasai Mara in Kenya and played with some clever toys made from recycled materials! It was lots of fun!

Wednesday 1 October 2025 Croydon Drop In - Keeping yourselves safe Y5 and 6 Year 5 and 6 had a workshop this afternoon from Croydon Drop In - You talk and we listen!The session was geared around safety, raising awareness of local youth crime and linking how important it is when out and about to be seen. To always take the safe route home and not always the quickest!

Wednesday 24 September 2025 Y2 visit Foxley Woods Y2 visited their local area - Foxley Woods and investigated the woodland habitat. Back at school they created mini woodland habitats inspired by the book ‘The Bog Baby'.

Monday 22 September 2025 TFL Workshop for Y6 A TFL workshop took place today in Y6. The children learnt about how to keep safe on public transport. Very important given that many do already and will do when in high school.
